Bodie and Doyle
We were contacted recently by two very cute kittens, Bodie and Doyle, who managed to send us a Powerpoint presentation - of all things - telling us all about them! Bodie is the author it seems...
Hi, we’re Bodie & Doyle – named after the Professionals ….and we’re certainly professional when it comes to getting up to all sorts of mischief!
We were at Chestnuts for a short while with our mum until one day some kind people came along and took us to our new bigger home.
It’s a far cry from the back of the car where we were born and lived for the first few weeks of our lives.
Anyway, we live in Sidcup, Kent now with Mike, Bev and Richard, where we are getting used to the extra space, and all the soft furnishings to climb up and play with.
Doyle is shy and taking some time to get used to things – he’s always following me round and letting me check stuff out first.
One day we will be able to go out into the garden but for now we can just look at the birds and other wildlife from the windowsill or through the patio doors.
All these new adventures have given me a real appetite – if I eat my dinner quick enough I can sneak up on Doyle and eat some of his too (I have to watch out for Bev though because she moves me or the plate saying my tummy is “getting too rounded for a littl’un”).
The teenager, Richard, is my best friend – he treats me like a baby and I don’t mind at all, laying back and having my tummy tickled.
He likes me to jump on his bed when he’s asleep and I think he likes it when I purr loudly in his ear.
Doyle has also learnt to purr now. He was totally silent for 2 weeks, and he can’t miaow yet for his food like I do – it takes so long to get from the pouch to the saucer ………
Last week we went back to Chestnuts for our first injections and saw some of our old friends.
Mum wasn’t there because she too has found a nice new home, so I hope she’s as happy as we are.
We have to go to Chestnuts once more for our last injections and to be micro-chipped.
Then, paws crossed, we can go out and explore the garden.
Oh, just the thought of it is making me hungry again … was that the chinking of saucers I heard ? I’m off ….
Thanks Bodie and Doyle (and Bev) for your story!
