The litter we use must be hygienic, lightweight, long-lasting and easy to dispose of. It has to be competitively priced. Most importantly, cats and kittens have to like using it!

We've found a cat litter that meets all of our criteria. It's called Breeder Celect.

Chestnut Cat Sanctuary uses Breeder Celect

We now use Breeder Celect exclusively at Chestnut Cat Sanctuary, and also at Chestnut Cat Boarding, our luxury cattery facility.

So, whether you're taking a new pet home from the Sanctuary, or bringing it back to the Boarding centre when you go on holiday, you can be assured they'll be able to relieve themself in comfort!

We stock Breeder Celect cat litter in our Sanctuary Charity Store, so when you adopt from us you'll be able to take home litter your new pet is familiar with.

We can provide your future litter requirements, too. We keep large stocks of litter, which is available to adopters during Sanctuary opening hours (10:30am-2pm every day). You can get a 3 litre bag for a donation of £1.50, or 24 litres for just £10. If your cat is happily using a litter it's best to continue using it!

Breeder Celect is an environmentally-friendly cat litter made from 100% recycled paper Breeder Celect is a uniquely formulated pelleted litter made from 100% recycled paper. It has no additives or chemicals and is virtually dust-free.
