Smudge and Whiskers
Kate, Amy and their kittens - Smudge and Whiskers - wrote to tell us how they were getting on since they were introduced to each other in May 2009!
Hallo and Happy Christmas to everyone at the cat sanctuary.
This is a note from Smudge and Whiskers, two little brothers who were adopted in May by Amy and her mum.
We have settled down really well and have really, really grown, as you can see by the photos we have sent you...perhaps you would like to use one or two on your website?
We get on well together and like our accommodation.
Our favourite place to be is the basket at the top of the stairs where we can observe everyone coming and going.
We also like to sit on everyone's laps. (Smudge is on Amy’s mummy’s lap now as she types. Previously, this has led to spelling errors and disconnection from the internet one time when we walked across the keyboard!)
We like Amy who feeds and waters us and who picks us up and rocks us, singing 'go to sleep little baby boy'. We are very patient.
We were in the house until after we had our microchips, vaccinations and neutering. Then we started exploring the garden!
It’s a big world out there and we were a bit uncertain at first but now we enjoy it, charging around the bushes and we get on ok with the other neighbourhood cats.
We discovered snow yesterday. Whiskers, went bonkers running around in it, but it was a bit cold for Smudge, despite his fur coat.
In the pictures you can recognise Smudge as he has a little flick (smudge) of white on the side of his face and Whiskers has lots of whiskers and a white chin.
Amy and her mum say they are our beautiful boys. Thank you for putting us together. They are purrfect.
Love from,
Kate and Amy and the kittens
Many thanks for your email and photos!
