Wallace

Wallace, an adorable black kitten adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryViktoria wrote to us to let us know how her kitten, Wallace, has been getting on...

Dear Chestnut,

We just had to write and let you know just how well kitten 9/6614 – now known as Wallace Simpson – has settled in, and just how much she is loved in our home.

We have had her for a month now, and it’s hard to see her any more as that scared little mite scrappling to stay in her cage!

After hiding behind the toilet for most of the day after we brought her home (and we thought we had secured every place she could possibly hide in, too), she has turned into the most loving, friendly, funny little kitten.

Wallace, an adorable black kitten adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryThere’s nothing she likes more than to race around and play with her toys up and down the floorboards, perform gymnastic feats on the banisters, or bounce from one piece of furniture to the other - and that’s usually after we’ve gone to bed!

She can play with her all-time favourite screwed-up tin foil balls for hours and will bring them to you to throw for her! Perhaps she was brought up with dogs.. She fetches!

She loves to cuddle up to each of us in turn lest the other feel neglected, and will sometimes just come up to you and put her paw on you. Just to let you know she’s there.

Wallace, an adorable black kitten adopted from Chestnut Cat SanctuaryShe’s still a bit shy when we have visitors and heads for her ‘safe place’ upstairs when she hears new voices, but is slowly coming out of her shell and venturing bravely further and further down the stairs each time.

She is such a wonderful kitten and has in reality turned our house into a home. We are ever so glad she let us choose her and couldn’t be without her. Thank you!

All the best,
Viktoria, Fiona and Wallace Simpson!

PS Attached are a couple of pictures so you can see just how settled and happy she is.

It's great to hear how well she's doing - thanks for your email and photos!
