Every Monday, after a busy weekend finding homes for cats, we book in new cats to come to us for rehoming. There are loads of new cats coming in the next week. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR NEW ARRIVALS!
Our paired cats section is dedicated to the memory of Malcom, one of our amazing volunteers (pictured here, cuddling a cat). Malcom passed away on 30th May 2008 after an illness. He was a kind and warm-hearted man who always made us laugh, and he adored the cats. Thank you for everything Malcolm, and rest in peace. |

Minstrel and Poppy are a pair of sisters who came to us from Upminster. They have been much loved cats, but their owner lost their job and, unfortunately, couldn't keep them. They both have a quiet, laid back nature - they may hide a bit at first but are both very friendly really! Minstrel is black and white (sorry about the shiny eyes in your photo!) while Poppy is black. They're both very fond of sleeping with their owner and both like their home comforts. Minstrel doesn't much like going out, so she will need a litter tray at all times.
They are devoted to each other and will make devoted pets for another caring owner. They get on with other cats and should be fine with children, but they should not live with dogs. Poppy and Minstrel arrived here on 13th November 09. |

This pair of boys made friends while staying with us. Billy is the black cat on the left, and is 4 months old: he came to us from Hendon because his owner had too many cats. He's a friendly chap who loves being combed and stroked - he has the loudest purr when you do! The ginger boy is 8 months old. He came to us from Chingford: his owner put him out in the garden to live.
Neither of them has been loved much in their short lives, which means they're a little bit more timid that you might expect - and that's probably why they found good company together. However, with a little understanding and some good ol' TLC, they should make fantastic companions for any caring owners. They should be fine with older children, and they get on with other cats - but shouldn't live with dogs. They arrived here on 23rd November 09 (Billy) and 13th January 2010 (ginger boy). |

Itchy and Scratchy are a brother and sister pair who must be adopted together. They're 11 years old and came from North Weald, where they were much loved cats - but their owner, unfortunately, is emigrating and couldn't take them too. Unlike their cartoon namesakes, Itchy and Scratchy are very easy going! They love their home comforts and have only ever lived in a rural location, which makes them excellent mousers but not very streetwise - so a similar rural home would be best for them.
Itchy is a tortie girl (who insisted on hiding underneath her blanket) while Scratchy is her pure black brother (who insisted on keeping his eyes closed in every photo). They should be fine with older children, 8+, but should not live with other cats or dogs. They arrived here on 3rd December 09. |

Archie and Olive are a pair of characters who came to us from Chingford. Their owner had children and said they couldn't cope with looking after the cats as well. Archie and Olive are a friendly pair - they like their fuss and would suit any caring, probably quietish home. Archie is the ginger boy. He's a chunky and cuddly fella! Olive, on the other hand, is a ginger and white girl. She's very cuddly! They don't get on with other cats and they should not live with dogs - but they should be fine with older children, 8+. They arrived here on 13th October 09. |

Eddie and Tie are a mum and daughter pair who came to us from Hatfield. Eddie is the mum, and is black and white. She's a very friendly girl who loves to sleep with you and sit on your lap - a great family cat. Tie is her daughter, and is black (and although she was awake when we took her picture, she was determined to pretend to be asleep!). She's just 3 years old and is also a nice friendly girl. Eddie and Tie are used to dogs but don't like other cats. They should be fine with children, however. They arrived here on 7th January 2010. |

Ross and Lois came to us from Hackney, via a social worker. Their owner had gone into care. We don't know much else about their history, but we can say that since they've been with us they have been friendly cats, very placid and appreciative of a good fuss! Ross has black fur and is 8 years old; Lois is black and white, and is 10. They should be fine living with older children, 8+, but they should not live with other cats or with dogs. They arrived here on 19th January 2010. |
